How to Stay Positive

Experts agree that there\'s no harm in a little positive thinking in our daily lives. Here are tips that can help you make the most of your life.

*Care For Yourself --exercise and eat well. A healthy body is a good foundation for developing a healthy mind.

*Be Aware --know that the opportunities for improvement are around you.

*Be Grateful --it probably sounds like a cliche already but being thankful for the blessings you\'ve received or the positive things that have happened to you, no matter how small is one way of boosting your feel good factor.

*Remind Yourself --write down your goals or clip images or notes and display them where you can see them often. Seeing them ensures that you won\'t forget them even during busy times.

*Surround Yourself with Happy People --socialize, even with just family or a small group of friends.

*Volunteer --Self-help gurus say you get good karma from doing something for others. While that may be true, there is also a simpler explanation: if you make someone else happy, you will end up feeling happy yourself.

*Allow Yourself to Feel Bad-But Only Briefly --when bad things happen, let yourself grieve or be angry, but do not dwell on the situation. Try to find something positive, then move on from there.

*Use Positive Words Often --such as \"Yes, I can\" or \"It can be done\"

*Surround Yourself with Positivity --take walks in your favorite spots, sit quietly in a garden and watch the sun rise or set. Avoid being around negative people.

*Realize It\'s Not Always Your Fault When Things Do Not Go Your Way --beating yourself up over somethingyou have no control over will only make you feel worse.

*Read Stirring Novels, Watch Feel-good Films, Listen to Music that Inspires you.
